This course will discuss and explore the work of popular contemporary women writers. The texts we are hoping to cover will include:Lucy Caldwell: Hamlet, a Love Story (short story, available on BBC Sounds); Belinda McKeon: Long Distance (short story in The Long Gaze Back, ed Sinéad Gleeson); Sommerville and Ross: Poisson d’Avril (short story in The Long Gaze Back ed Sinéad Gleeson); Elizabeth Strout: Anything is Possible.
