This course will discuss and explore the work of popular contemporary women writers. The texts we are hoping to cover will include:Lucy Caldwell: ‘Hamlet, a Love Story’ (short story, available on BBC Sounds); Belinda McKeon: ‘Long Distance’ (short story in The Long Gaze Back, ed Sinéad Gleeson); Sommerville and Ross: ‘Poisson d’Avril’ (short story in The Long Gaze Back ed Sinéad Gleeson); Elizabeth Strout: ‘Anything is Possible’.
