The Autism and Behaviour Support course is for teachers, teaching assistants, and other professionals, as well as parents and other family members who are interested in learning about autism and behaviour support.Although the theoretical content of the course is universal and can be used as an introduction to behaviour support in a variety of settings, the main focus of the practical part is on supporting autistic children and their families in their daily lives, at home, at school, or at other settings. Skills taught during this course include: behaviour management and change, functional assessment, skill acquisition, parent training, and ethical, compassionate, and affirming practice.The course is delivered online. Students work at their own pace and learning is assessed continuously through short quizzes throughout the course.
