£0.00 / unit

You are cordially invited to attend the Inaugural Professorial Lecture by Professor Mark Linden, a researcher in the field of paediatric disability for over 20 years. With extensive experience in higher education, Professor Linden is currently Director of Research in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Queen’s University Belfast.

"Inclusive Research, Unequal Realities: Co-Designing Solutions to Address Health Inequalities for Children and Young People with Disabilities"

Children and young people with disabilities often face unfair barriers to good health and support. Figures indicate that 1 out of every 10 children in the UK have a disability with many possessing significant health and social care needs. In this inaugural lecture, Professor Mark Linden will explore how we can work together—researchers, families, healthcare professionals, and communities—to tackle these inequalities head-on. Through real-world examples and inclusive approaches, Mark will show how research can be done differently: not just about people, but with them. Expect practical ideas, powerful stories, and a fresh look at how co-design and collaboration can lead to fairer outcomes for those who are too often left behind.
