£0.00 / unit
You are cordially invited to attend the Inaugural Professorial Lecture by Professor Kenda Crozier, a registered Nurse and Midwife with over 20 years experience in higher education and Head of the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Queen's University Belfast.
"Expecting the Unexpected: advancing practice in midwifery and nursing".
The Sunday evening drama depicting midwives on bicycles paints a picture of selfless service in the pursuit of improving public health of women and families. Midwives and Nurses are regarded as highly trusted professionals in this and other portrayals of the profession in art and fiction. Yet the reports from Ockenden, Kirkup, Renfrew, and others highlight concerns about safety and care in maternity services dating back more than ten years, where system rationality prevails and the voices of women and families are not being heard.Date and Time | Location | Register |
