This course invites learners to explore one of the world’s greatest epic tales. Journey with Odysseus as he faces gods, monsters, and the challenges of homecoming, while uncovering themes of heroism, loyalty, identity, gender relations, and the human struggle against fate. Through guided readings and discussions, we will examine Homer’s storytelling, characters, and symbolism, and discover how the Odyssey has influenced literature, art, and culture across millennia. This course offers a rich, immersive experience for anyone interested in the enduring power and beauty of classical storytelling.
