New Year 2027

10 weekly sessions on Fridays, 11.00 am to 12.00 noon, starting 22 January

Ludwig Van Beethoven died in Vienna two hundred years ago, on March 26, 1827. In this course, we will be celebrating his music by listening to a selection of his pieces, some familiar, some much less well-known; some written on a large scale, some merely miniatures. Instead of the usual chronological approach to his music, I plan to present a carefully balanced playlist each week, providing an educational but relaxing hour on a Friday morning in the company of one of the great figures of 'classical' music.

This class will take place on QUB campus
