This course will examine various topics in developmental psychology. We will look at how children's perception, thinking and behaviour changes as they mature. Topics covered will include intelligence/cognition, language and moral thinking. We will also consider developmental disorders such as autism and dyslexia. What are the causes and characteristics of these conditions and what interventions are available? Finally, we will look at the issue of bullying - a serious issue for certain children at school. What are its causes and what can be done to prevent it?
This class will take place on QUB campus
