Autumn 2025

10 weekly sessions on Tuesdays 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm, starting 23 September

This year marks 150th anniversary of the birth of the Belfast born writer Forrest Reid. Once with an international reputation, he is today all but forgotten. This course examines Reid's life and works through his exploration of the worlds of childhood and the supernatural. We shall study his novel Uncle Stephen (on which close friend Walter de la Mare was a consultant), thereby gaining an appreciation of the author's achievements.
